Description:
AVM Consulting, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer to implement and develop software product capabilities on debt and derivative securities as part of a transformation effort to unify trading experience in the Treasury. Be part of an agile team, adhering to specialized processes and following working agreements concentrating on continuous software improvement. Develop and support software application operations in productions by triaging technical issues and providing solutions. Support the team by ensuring the practice of a smooth DevSecOps. Utilize highly specialized Java 8+ features, Spring Boot, and object-oriented software programming principles. Utilize cloud computing concepts and AWS services (e.g., S3, EC2, Lambda). Utilize Kafka for real time stream processing and Elasticsearch for search and analytics. Utilize caching technologies (e.g., Memcached, Redis) and queuing systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ). Utilize Docker and containerization technologies, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD), and code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). Telecommuting permitted pursuant to company policy.
Salary:
$175,427 – $180,000 per year.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Experience Requirements:
Five (5) years of experience in the position offered, as a Software Engineer, or related occupation.
Must have experience with the following: Java 8+ features, Spring Boot, and object-oriented programming principles; Cloud computing concepts and AWS services (S3, EC2, and Lambda); Kafka for real-time stream processing; Elasticsearch for search and analytics; Caching technologies (Memcached and Redis); Queuing systems (RabbitMQ and ActiveMQ); Docker and containerization technologies; CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD); Infrastructure as code tools (Terraform and CloudFormation); and DevOps principles.
